Uw eigen terrein wordt het decor van een eeuwenoud spektakel; De Schotse Highland Games.

De Highland Games komen voort vanuit traditionele clanspelen uit de hooglanden van Schotland. Nog steeds worden er ieder jaar Highland Games gehouden, tegenwoordig ook buiten Schotland. Het grootste Highland Games evenement wordt jaarlijks gehouden in Grandfather Mountain in Noord-Carolina (Noord-Amerika). De Highland Games omvatten onder meer zware atletische wedstrijdonderdelen.

Wij zullen met u een spelenparcours uitzetten dat ook voor de niet-Hooglanders goed te spelen is. De spelen die u kunt verwachten zijn:

Caber Tossing (paal gooien)
Three run (boomstam estafette)
Putting the Shot (kei stoten)
Rifle shooting (buksschieten)
Tug of War (touwtrekken)
Caber Sawing (boomstam zagen)

Om uw eigen leider goed te kunnen herkennen, zullen we de leiders van iedere clan in Schotse kledij hijsen.
